PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head parking ramp for an information storage device which can prevent damage to the recording surface of a disk and the deformation of a head support portion caused by an external impact.;SOLUTION: A head parking ramp 100 for the information storage device parks a read/write head at a position out of a disk 20. The head parking ramp 100 includes a fixed portion 110 fixed to a base member and an extended portion 130 extending from the fixed portion toward the disk, and the extended portion 130 has a protruding surface 135 which protrudes from each of the disk facing surfaces of the extended portion at a position corresponding to the edge of the disk and restricts the vibration of the disk by the contact of the edge of the disk with the protrusing surface when the disk vibrates.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
