The invention concerns a protective barrier comprising a net installed across a slope. The invention is characterised in that the net is maintained by several supports (14) comprising each a first mast (18) globally pointing downstream and whereof one end is fixed to an anchoring point in the ground and a second upright mast (24), resting on the ground, the two masts intersecting side by side in a specifically selected geometrical configuration, in particular with guy cables (34, 36, 38, 42) installed between the masts.
