Control module has control means (49) for control of plunger position, of spring strut assembly, of displacement-reference value (51), which contains automatic controller input signal whereby regulation means form automatic controller output signal (40) for control of valve mechanism (28) as function of characteristic which is dependent on friction characteristic of plunger. An independent claim is also included for the method for active chassis of motor vehicle.
