The method involves deforming a seal (1) in a location before being introduced in a groove (2) of a hole (3), where the seal extends in a plane in the deformed position. The seal is deformed by forming waves or zigzags in such a way that deformations are not crossed and the seal takes the star shape with three branches. The deformations are distributed on a periphery of the seal in a regular manner. An independent claim is also included for a device to implement a circular flexible seal placing method.
