The transmitter has an impedance matching circuit (30) matching impedance between a power amplifier (20) and a transmission antenna (40) and providing impedance values towards the amplifier. A control unit (60) selects the impedance values in an adaptive manner based on a characteristic associated to an input signal. The impedance values are determined according to respective conjugated matching methods. An independent claim is also included for a mobile radiocommunication terminal comprising a radio transmitter.
