LINKAGE STRAND FOR PERSONAL ADORNMENT MADE OF SUPER-ELASTIC SHAPE-MEMORY ALLOY, AND PERSONAL ADORNMENT USING THE LINKAGE STRAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain the desired flexibility of a personal adornment such as a necklace and to secure the excellent outside appearance of the personal adornment when worn in a user's body.;SOLUTION: The linkage strand 1 for the personal adornment is made of a tubular coil with a plurality of super-elastic shape-memory alloy wires which are spirally and closely wound together in the spiral shape. The linkage strand with desired flexibility and desired strength against the tension can be obtained by appropriately selecting the diameter of the wire and the number of wires to be bound. The desired flexibility of the personal adornment can be retained and the excellent outside appearance of the personal adornment when worn in the user's body can be secured by linking ornament materials such as pearls to the linkage strand. Since a core is not used in the linkage strand 1, the strand has the elasticity to some extent, and therefore, by piercing the ornament materials through the linkage strand in the slightly extended state and fixing both ends with a fixture, the linkage strand is contracted according to the wearing of the ornament materials even if the ornament materials wear out in the period of long-time use.
