PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information extracting means for extracting configuration information without installing an extraction program in a target device of a customer regardless of the presence of the failure of a control part in the target device. PSOLUTION: This USB memory which can be connected to an arbitrary device is provided with a USB memory control part; a configuration information extracting part to be started by a USB memory control part when the USB memory is connected to the device for extracting the configuration information of the device and a configuration information storage part for storing the configuration information.
