PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for planning an optimal transportation route obtaining a less expensive distribution cost by considering assembly of parts when setting a new part supplier and designing a new transportation route. PSOLUTION: In the optimal transportation route planning device, in addition to the part supplier previously defined, the new part supplier is defined. Transportation routes for delivering parts from the part suppliers to a part delivery destination are planned, distribution cost corresponding to each of the planned transportation routes are calculated, and the lowest distribution cost is obtained. When there are a plurality of candidates for new part suppliers, the device selects the optimal candidate as a new part supplier and obtains the optimal transportation route.
