Pilot ground fault protective relaying scheme in traction power supply system

A pilot ground fault protective relaying scheme in a traction power supply system is provided to improve reliability of the system by preventing erroneous operation of a ground fault protective relay in advance. In a pilot ground fault protective relaying scheme in a traction power supply system, a ground fault detecting device shorts a ground switch when a ground fault accident is detected in the traction power supply system. A ground fault feeding line discriminating device discriminates a ground fault feeding line on accident by inspecting the amount of current change of each feeding line as the ground switch shorts. A ground fault feeding line trip-controlling device trip-controls the ground fault feeding line while transceiving a ground fault permission signal with an adjacent transformer substation.
