A method for estimating low flow rate performance characteristics of a mixed-flow impeller is provided to estimate the performance characters occurring in a low flow rate area by developing a loss model based on performance test data of the conventional 6 models of mixed-flow impellers. The low flow rate performance characteristics of the mixed-flow impeller are estimated by adding an additional full-pressure increment to calculation of an Euler full-pressure increment. The additional full-pressure increment is generated by internal flexible small margin, which is generated by separation of an inflow flowing angle occurring in the low flow rate area.
