Shifting method involves mechanical fixing of the bars (2,3,4,5,6,7), which are connected to a shifting unit (1), on the surface (12). The bars are interconnected by connecting rails. The connecting rails proceed in their longitudinal extent transverse to the longitudinal direction of the bars. An independent claim is also included for the device for shifting two parallel bars.
