The method involves determining a three-dimensional reconstruction volume from a basic set comprising a minimum number of two-dimensional images. The images are stored in a memory according to a recording time, where the memory is designed as circular buffer. A local limited updating of partial areas of the reconstruction volume covered by new images is carried out during recording of the new images in the basic set under a predetermined condition.
