The installation (10) has simulation cabins for receiving vehicles (V1, V2) to be tested. A transfer unit (22) is arranged for transferring diurnal and nocturnal simulation devices (14, 16) between the cabins, where the simulation devices are provided in the respective cabins. The simulation devices are placed on a carriage such as platform, circulating in rails. The transfer unit is controlled by an automatic or semi-automatic control device. An independent claim is also included for a method of testing several motor vehicles using a climatic variation simulation installation.
