Treatment of talc by contacting with a polymer, comprises mixing the talc optionally containing the pulp of mechanical, thermomechanical, chemical and/or recycled nature, with aqueous suspension, forming aqueous suspension of talc i.e. initially in the form of dry powder, grinding the dry/wet talc, drying the aqueous suspensions of talc, and/or graining the talc, where the polymer is an amphoteric polymer comprising an anionic monomer, a cationic monomer and optionally a non-ionic monomer. Independent claims are included for: (1) talc treated with the amphoteric polymer; and (2) dry powder, granules and aqueous suspension of the treated talc.
