PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clathrate hydrate which remarkably improves the problem of metal corrosion and has a latent heat storage effect, to provide its slurry, to provide a latent heat-storing substance containing the clathrate hydrate and its slurry, to provide an aqueous solution capable of producing the clathrate hydrate and its slurry, to provide a method for adjusting the melting point of the clathrate hydrate, to provide a method for increasing the latent heat storage quantity of the slurry of the clathrate hydrate, and to provide a method for producing the clathrate hydrate and its slurry.;SOLUTION: This latent heat-storing substance is characterized by containing a pH-adjusting agent and a clathrate hydrate containing, as a guest compound, the salt of a cation with at least one of primary phosphate ion (H2PO4-), secondary phosphate ion (HPO42-) and tertiary phosphate ion (PO43-).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
