PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method for a refrigerant pressure drop characteristic of a multi-path heat exchanger in consideration of a choke characteristic of a capillary and a simulation method of heat exchange characteristic. PSOLUTION: It is determined whether or not each capillary is choked by comparison between a choke flow of the capillary determined by initialization and refrigerant distribution. When all of the capillaries are choked, a sub-path connected to the capillary having a minimum refrigerant pressure drop is selected as a standard path, and a refrigerant mass flow flux on the other sub-path is computed using the refrigerant pressure drop. When all the capillaries are not choked, refrigerants are re-distributed to the capillaries, and the refrigerant pressure drop in the capillary and the refrigerant pressure drop in the sub-path are computed.
