PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical characteristic inspection system of an optical fiber device including a switching mechanism which easily switches between the transmission and the interception of emitted light with an inexpensive and simple structure.;SOLUTION: A laser light source is connected to an incident side optical fiber of the optical fiber device and a light receiver 2 is arranged in front of a plurality of emitting side optical fibers 4c via a slit member 3. The end faces 4d of the emitting side optical fibers 4c are diagonally cut and matching oil 5 is applied selectively on the end faces 4d. When inspection light is made incident to the optical fiber device from the laser light source, the emitted light 6 from the emitting side optical fibers 4c having the end face 4d on which the matching oil 5 is applied is made incident to the light receiving face 2a of a light receiver 2 via the slit 3a. However, the emitted light 6 from the emitting side optical fibers 4c having the end face 4d on which the matching oil 5 is not applied does not pass through the slit 3a and is not made incident to the light receiving face 2a of the light receiver 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
