A DNA Chip for the identification of differential expression virulence genes of Mycobacterium leprae during the disease spectrum in the human host. It also assesses their role as a future drug target/ vaccine production for the mycobacterial diseases by using comparative and structural genomic approaches. The partial DNA -chip, by targeting virulence genes [encoding major heat shock protein (HSPs viz. 10, 18, 36, 65, 70 KDa), important regulatory proteins, entry proteins, bacterial toxins, iron storage proteins] and genes targeting key enzymes of metabolic pathways of M.leprae.
