A unit with a cascade of metal deflectors for processing organic materials such as chicken manure and sediments (silt) of sewage treatment plants, for example, to an organic fertilizer or a feed additive, or a compound of a soil mixture, as well as for drying mineral materials such as rubble, sand, clay and others with high moisture content contains a drying unit connected at the input to a collector of the raw material being processed, and at the output to a receiving device for the ready product. The drying unit comprises at least one heat deflector arranged immovably inside a drum coaxially therewith. The heat deflector has a movable unit made in such a manner as to allow cleaning the surface of the heat deflector from the raw material being processed.
