摘要

A method for manufacturing magnesium based hydrogen storage alloy powder with a fine-crystalline phase showing fast hydrogen emission and the magnesium based hydrogen storage alloy powder made of the method are provided to solidify a molten magnesium based alloy rapidly and to ball-mill the heat treated magnesium based alloy so as to secure the fine-crystalline phase having high hydrogen emission speed at 300°C. A method for manufacturing magnesium based hydrogen storage alloy powder with a fine-crystalline phase showing fast hydrogen emission comprises the steps of; solidifying a molten magnesium based alloy rapidly; heat-treating the solidified magnesium based powder to manufacture the magnesium based alloy having the fine crystalline phase of less than 500nm; and ball-milling the heat treated magnesium based alloy and grinding the alloy by fine powder of less than 45mum. The powder reacts with hydrogen in 5 to 20 atmospheric pressure at 300 to 400°C.
