The system has a mobile rescue network for propagation in front of a rescue object such as building, and two extendable, spaced apart rescue telescopes, which contains the rescue network. The rescue telescopes clamp the network to a rescue level, which is telescopically adjustable in height. The network is designed in multipart from two networks, which are connectable with one another. Each of the rescue telescopes has an upper cross bar. An independent claim is also included for a method for the rescue of persons from heights or event levels.
