The device has a display unit e.g. monitor screen, for displaying of basic- and detail information. A control unit detects an activation of the displayed basic information and superimposes the associated detail information during detected activation. The basic- and detail information are simultaneously displayed on the display unit and has a graphic connection, which is in the form of an arrow. The superimposed detail information together with the graphic connection is hideable during activation of the basic information by contact of a touch screen.
