The method involves detecting a critical control (14) of a flywheel based on the evolution of a braking angle for identifying the critical control when the braking angle evolution satisfies a pre-stored pattern, where the critical control of the flywheel provokes swing around a motor vehicle. The pre-stored pattern is satisfied when the braking angle evolves with variation greater than predetermined amplitude. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a path correcting method.
