PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a square root calculation, to reduce a division, and to find a proper solution.;SOLUTION: This solution device or the like is provided with an initial value generating circuit 42 having a divider 45 for dividing a coefficient in a second order term of a cubic equation by "3" constituting a denominator of the solution, as to the solution of an equation with a second-differential cubic eigenvalue equation of a 3×3 determinant, a first group block 43 having two circuits 50₁, 50₂ of dichotomy circuits for finding one solution, using a dichotomy, based on two initial values, and of using an output from the initial value generating circuit 42, zero and a MAX value that is a sum of the maximum values of diagonal elements in the 3×3 determinant, as inputs for the dichotomy circuits, and a block of the second group block 44 having three circuits 50₃, 50₄, 50₅ of dichotomy circuits using zero and the MAX value and an output from the first group block 43, as inputs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
