PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil moisture analyzing apparatus capable of accurately analyzing the behaviors of soil moisture to rainfalls in landfills etc. PSOLUTION: The soil moisture analyzing apparatus is provided with a tank database in which tanks characteristics of tank models are defined for every soil texture; a shape defining means for defining the cross-sectional shapes of slopes; an area dividing means for diving the cross-sectional shapes into a plurality of small areas; a soil texture defining means for defining the soil texture of every area; a model generating means for generating multi-stage tank models by reading tanks of the tank models matched with the soil texture defined for every area from the tank database and allotting them to each area; a rainfall quantity defining means for defining the quantity of rainfall at every elapsed time; and a computing means for determining and outputting a water level inside each tank at every prescribed elapsed time on the basis of the quantity of rainfall.
