The pot assembly (1) includes an inner pot (3) that is adapted to be accommodated in an outer pot (2). The outside of the top end of the inner pot adjoins the inner wall of the outer pot in the accommodation position without any clearance. The wall of the inner pot is translucent. The wall of the outer pot situated near the translucent wall of the inner pot is also translucent. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a pot assembly and pot-grown orchid combination; and (2) a method for cultivating a pot grown orchid.
