The method involves providing an injection device for injection of a cooling medium with an injector, and eliminating a core melt of a molding material e.g. plastics such as thermoplastics, thermosetting polymers and/or thermoplastic elastomers, by injection of the cooling medium e.g. water, oil, alcohol and fluoridated hydrocarbons, over the injector under formation of a cavity. A part of the cooling medium is discharged from the cavity. The cooling medium is blown out from a hollow molded part. An independent claim is also included for a device for injection molding of hollow-molded parts, comprising an injector.
