The device (1) has two video scanner cameras (2, 3) with surface sensors and an electronic swiveling control device (4). The control device swivels lines of vision (5, 6) of cameras independently in the coordinated step-by-step operation such that images of recording sequences of each camera overlap partial edge. An electronic mosaic/fusion device (12) is designed in such a manner that fusion device receives image signals (13, 14) of cameras whose individual images are combined to a coherent image, and geometrically overlaps at a large extent congruently to a multi-spectral resulting image.
