The device has an electromagnetic position sensor (11) at affected body part, tissue or organ i.e. liver (2) of a patient (P) e.g. animal, for generating sensor signal with respect to movements of the organ. A control and arithmetic unit (7) determines a movement curve (14) based on the sensor signal generated by the sensor. The arithmetic unit generates a control signal for releasing acoustic signals at determined periodically changing point or at periodically changing phase position of the movement curve such that the medical intervention takes place based on the acoustic signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for medical intervention in a region of affected body part, tissue or organ of an animal.
