The pump has a refrigerant circuit (1), a heat distribution circuit (3) and a heat source cycle (2) with a set of heat sources, where the refrigerant circuit has two evaporating heat exchangers (4, 6). The heat source cycle has higher temperature in relation to optimal inlet temperature at the refrigerant circuit. The heat source cycle with the high temperature connects with an excess heat circuit (24), which is directly connects with the heat distribution circuit or an external consumer for transferring excess heat. An independent claim is also included for a method for regulation of source inlet temperature in a heat pump.
