The device has a horizontal deflector deployed in a horizontal position, and a vertical deflector (11) deployed in a vertical position. The horizontal deflector has a canvas (42) mounted on a rolling tube (41). The canvas is mobile between a rolled position and a deployed position in which the canvas horizontally extends above a surface to be covered. The vertical deflector is integrated to a canvas drawing bar that draws the canvas from the deflector. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a windstop device.
