PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material for emitting a light by a shock wave, a shock wave sensor using it, and a shock wave measurement apparatus.;SOLUTION: The shock wave induced fluorescent material is an inorganic compound containing an emission center element whose electronic level is excited by the shock wave. The shock wave sensor includes the shock wave induced fluorescent material, and senses the shock wave by the light from the fluorescent material. In the shock wave sensor, one surface as a front or back surface of a plate-like body comprising the shock wave induced fluorescent material is a shock wave receiving surface. An optically-transparent substrate is integrated with the opposite surface. The shock wave measurement apparatus is the shock wave measurement apparatus for sensing and measuring the shock wave, and includes: the shock wave sensor; and an optical measuring instrument for detecting an intensity of the light emitted from the sensor.
