PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a microbial degradation ability of polluting organic substance under a polluting source environment, and a polluted soil restoration speed on the basis of the microbial degradation ability.;SOLUTION: The method for evaluating a microbial degradation capacity in an organic substance-polluted soil comprises: determining the peak value XQ, m of quinone species total concentration corresponding to an organic substance-degrading microorganism in polluted soil on the basis of the measurement of a quinone profile and then determining the microbial degradation capacity Zm in a polluted site from the peak value.
