PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cDNA of apple chloroplast chaperonin subunit exhibiting disease resistance to Alternaria mali. PSOLUTION: A base at the 193rd position from a translation initiation site of cDNA of 1,758 bp encoding the chloroplast chaperonin subunit is guanine (G).
