PURPOSE: A SR(sepiapterin reductase)-deficient rat as an animal model is provided to detect Parkinson's diseases symptom and to develop therapeutic target for Parkinson's disease.;CONSTITUTION: A SR(sepiapterin reductase)-knockout mouse is used as an animal model for Parkinson;s disease. The SR-knock out mouse is homozygote. A method for screening a therapeutic agent for Parkinson's disease comprises: a step of administering candidate for preventing and treating Parkinson's disease to SR-knock out mouse; a step of measuring bradykinesia level or tremor level; a step of comparing the result of the candidate with the value of the control group; and a step of selecting.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
