PURPOSE: A symmetry and SIMD based high speed forward-backward projection method and a device thereof are provided to reduce the number of calculation times by using a symmetric property on a coordinate space which is obtained through the rotation of a coordinate axis.;CONSTITUTION: A backward projection phase changes first sinogram data including data about a plurality of projection angles into image data. A forward projection phase changes the image data into second sinogram data. The backward projection phase comprises a step of generating first intermediate image data, second intermediate image data, and image data.
