PURPOSE: A phase modulation stabilization method of a fiber optic gyroscope, using the error correction, is provided to accurately detect phase modulation amplitude errors. CONSTITUTION: A phase modulation stabilization method of a fiber optic gyroscope is as follows. The light, generated from a light source, adds a phase modulated signal to vary the phase on first and second phase sections(S100). The light is divided to toward in different ways in order to have the phase difference generated by the rotation of gyroscope(S200). The respective advanced light is united and the combined light is changed into optical signals(S410). First and second output mean values corresponding to the first and second phase sections, respectively are calculated from the light signals(S420). The phase modulated amplitude of the phase modulated signal is corrected by using the difference of the first and the second output mean value(S500).
