PURPOSE: A divanadium pentaoxide based silver coating catalyst for reduction of sulfur dioxide oxidation reaction is provided to reduce oxidation reaction of sulfur dioxide by restricting penetration of the vanadium Sox to a catalytic pore. CONSTITUTION: A divanadium pentaoxide based silver coating catalyst for reduction of sulfur dioxide oxidation reaction is formed by wash coating the surface of the catalyst with silver(S70). A carrier supporting divanadium pentaoxide is titanium dioxide, aluminium oxide or silicon dioxide. The content of the divanadium pentaoxide included in the divanadium pentaoxide catalyst is 0.5- 2.5 weight% of the total weight of catalyst manufacturing raw materials.
