The method involves recording a road underlying infront of a motor vehicle using a night vision and/or infrared camera. A part of a windscreen is provided with organic LEDs in type of flat screen, which reproduces an image of the road in a monitor using the night vision and/or infrared camera. The monitor is provided at the windscreen. The organic LEDs are superimposed on a rollable, transparent foil. The transparent foil is arranged so that the foil is drawn-out infront of the windscreen if required.
