PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always synchronize the internal clock of a pit outside recording apparatus and the internal clock of a pit inside recording apparatus with a GPS time, and enable a continuous geological exploration during a tunnel construction.;SOLUTION: A received data of a pit outside receiver is recorded in the pit outside recording apparatus installed outside the pit of a tunnel. An initiation time of a torpedo vibration and a received data of the pit inside receiver are recorded in the pit inside recording apparatus 13b installed inside the pit of the tunnel. A geological condition of a front face of the excavated tunnel is predicted based on the recorded data. The pit outside recording apparatus includes a pit outside GPS receiver. The internal clock is always synchronized with the GPS time by a GPS signal received by the GPS receiver. A pit inside GPS receiver 21 is provided outside the pit of the tunnel. The GPS signal received by the GPS receiver 21 is propagated inside the pit of the tunnel by a connection cable (an optical fiber cable) 24.
