摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technology which achieves efficient coding with respect to a high frame rate video.;SOLUTION: When the values of a frame rate and a numerical aperture which become estimation targets in accuracy of movement prediction are set for coding in accordance with an input value and in advance set value, estimator used for estimation of accuracy of movement prediction which minimizes a code amount to be generated in the coding is determined under a condition of the coding where the amount of distortion is kept constant, then, the set frame rate and the value of numerical aperture are substituted into the estimator whereby the accuracy of movement prediction which minimizes the code amount is estimated. An analytic theoretical model which expresses a relation between the frame rate and numerical aperture and the accuracy of movement prediction is constructed in such a way that accuracy of optimum movement prediction in accordance with the frame rate and the numerical aperture are estimated by utilizing the theoretical model whereby the achievement of efficient coding with respect to the high frame rate video becomes possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
