PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment processing method and device for uniformly aligning the entire surface of a flexible film by continuously and stably rubbing an aligned layer formed on, especially, a wide flexible film.;SOLUTION: An alignment processing mechanism section primarily comprises a rubbing roller 6, an endless conveying belt 7, and a plurality of backup rollers 10, the plurality of backup rollers 10 are disposed below the endless belt 7 supporting the flexible film 1 formed with the alignment film during the rubbing process and rotatably supported so that they always face the rubbing roller 6 associatively with the rotation of the rubbing roller 6 and their rotating surfaces always are in parallel to the conveying direction of the flexible film 1 irrespective of the rotating direction of the rubbing roller 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
