Device for non-destructive testing and detection of surface and internal defects and / or thickness of the metal material, particularly pressure steel cylinders cylindrical shape, comprising a removable carrier (6) of ultrasonic probes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) adjacent to the surface of rotating the measured material (7) to which is bound an acoustic coupling. Into the cavity (8) of the carrier (6) are above mouths and fixed thereto each ultrasonic probe (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). This cavity (8) is provided with through holes for the inflow of immersion liquid into which the ultrasonic probe (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and thus create their associated acoustic space. Carrier (6) in its lower portion facing to the measured material (7), provided with fixed to it a removable shaped insert (10) with an opening adjoining the outlet opening (9) of the carrier (6) and thus adapted to discharge immersion liquid to the surface of the material (7) to which the insert (10) via a narrow gap adjoins. The axes of the individual probes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) are directed in substantially one point on the surface of the measured material (7) surrounding a cavity (8) of the carrier (6) flowing immersion liquid.
