A method for general anesthesia in laboratory animals for operation interventions and manipulations at experimental studies comprises the supply of anesthetic mix to an animal, entering into narcosis, necessary manipulations with the animal, and taking of the animal out of narcosis. Prior to the supply of narcosis mix to the animal it is fixed on operation table. The supply of narcosis mix is performed through a glass flask, filled with narcosis solution and tightly closed with rubber plug. After that a mask for narcosis is applied onto snout and connected with a cavity of the glass flask by polyvinylchloride through a needle, insterted into the rubber plug. Air is forced into flasks narcosis mix. At entering of the animal into narosis it is evaluated by observation of animal state and its reaction to manipulations
