PURPOSE: A method and device for feature extraction and a method for image based location recognition using the same are provided to perform stabilized location recognition by evenly obtaining the feature in the whole image by extracting new feature in the segmentation area where the registered feature is not existed.;CONSTITUTION: A feature extractor(21) extracts the feature from an input image. A feature register provides the feature information to a motion predictor. A feature matcher(24) matches the extracted feature with the pre-registered feature.
