PURPOSE: A method for decomposing carbon dioxide based on thermal plasma and simultaneously manufacturing zinc oxide nano particles is provided to alleviate a global warming phenomenon by decomposing the carbon dioxide as reaction gas.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing zinc oxide nano particles includes the following: Carbon dioxide is introduced into a reaction tube(2) of a thermal plasma device as reaction gas. The carbon dioxide is decomposed using plasma jet. Zinc powder in micro size is introduced into the thermal plasma device using carrier gas and is melted and vaporized. Zinc oxide is generated based on the reaction of decomposed carbon dioxide and the vaporized zinc. The zinc oxide is cooled to obtain zinc oxide nano particles.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
