FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: model of an article is constructed using apparatus for specifying, selecting and executing a sequence of operations for automatic construction of a three-dimensional geometric model (TGM) of the article based on data of a computer mathematical model (CMM) of the article and elements of an analogue, which is a parametric assembly of the TGM formed beforehand. New values of geometric parameters of each element of the analogue are calculated using the CMM of the elements of the analogue and based on the relationship between dimensions of geometric models of elements which are not in the CMM of the article and calculated parameters of the CMM of the article, the sequence of operations for automatically changing values of the parameters of the elements of the analogue is given, after which models of the elements of the analogue are extracted from a data base created beforehand, the values of their parameters are replaced with new values, and elements of the analogue are reconstructed in accordance with the new values and the obtained TGM of the elements of the article are subsequently put into the TGM assembly of the article.;EFFECT: cutting on time resources spent on designing articles.;1 dwg
