The method involves attaching a solar cell (101) to a photovoltaic system (10). Data between a module circuit (102) that is arranged in the photovoltaic module (100) and a central circuit (11) of the photovoltaic system are compared. The photovoltaic module is activated by a switch when the data comparison is raised such that the photovoltaic module supplies current to the photovoltaic system. The module protective circuit includes a code that is compared with data of the central circuit. An independent claim is also included for a photovoltaic system comprising a photovoltaic module.
