The method involves laying a prefabricated rail support component (1) on a substructure (6) and horizontally aligning the rail support component on the foundation. The rail support component is lifted by a stilt-like height adjusting device (4) for adjusting height of the rail support component. An intermediate space is provided between a lower side of the rail support component and the substructure and is formed by a panel (5). The intermediate space is filled with a viscous, curable material (8) e.g. concrete and vibration-damping plastic material.
