PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled soil improving machine capable of smoothly discharging improved soil even if sediment in which a foreign matter such as large stone is mixed is handled, and to provide a mixing device used for the soil improving machine.;SOLUTION: In this self-propelled soil improving machine for improving the accepted sediment by stirring and mixing it by the mixing device 3C, the mixing device 3C comprises a paddle mixer 37b having a plurality of paddles 39 installed at a plurality of rotating shafts 38, respectively, and stirring and mixing the introduced sediment and a soil improver.
